I was intrigued by the faces and memories that were important enough to keep in a beautiful hatbox . The hatbox was brought out when relatives would visit and they would share remembrances. It seemed the photos evoked strong emotion and storytelling as part of the family "mythology".Much later I became interested in the synthesis of photography, digital media and graphic design. It is here the magic happens for me where a captured image further expresses thought, feeling, and concept. In addition to graphic design I enjoy studio portrait photography, and event photography. I have been an adjunct professor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for fifteen years teaching all levels of photography. I also teach courses in digital typography and graphic design.
